Wrong Rail to the Right Side

‘Life is a journey’, they state,
And there isn’t any point to debate,
Its just as true as it sounds to me;
Play with life, its yours, and your free.
The expense of a hospital bill,
Is worse; just die or let life kill.
But No;
People want to stay alive,
And go back to the world and strive
It never strikes them that sometimes life is a mess,
And they don’t want to be in A-dress.
Their thoughts flow, their minds glow,
But do they use their level of thinking well?
They don’t know how to tell.

Desire ‘pulls’ them, fire ‘dulls’ them,
Are the picking Wrong from Right?
No;
They are picking Right from Wrong, That’s right!
Till there’s no Right Left at all
The endless maze leads to their death;
They strive till their very last breath
They go back the maze empty-handed,
Going aimlessly and ending up stranded
Why do they even ask why life is so crude,
When they don’t learn their road well?
The path they take is like living in hell –
They end up happy when they ‘THINK’ that
The Wrong Rail leads to the Right Side;
But then again, they just think… And think… And think…

Shallow Dreams (My Poem)

SHALLOW DREAMS

He awakes with dreams of victory,
But life doesn’t seem so sweet,
He has to move on, thinking he’s on the bright side;
And then, sadly face the heat.
His materialistic thoughts are but a dream,
He holds himself in a lowly scream.

His thoughts sink him into being strong,
But he didn’t realize all along –
That he was nothing but weak,
And in life, his dreams will seep;
Seep to an unknown place
Where he will see his lonely face.

His thoughts are but shallow desires,
That burn in dreams of midnight fires;
He stands alone taking his risk,
And in hand, he’s left with a choice,
To change the note to a pleasing voice,
A voice that’d him all he’d want,
But again, his Shallow Dreams taunt.

He prays, “Oh Shallow Dreams, set me free;
From all the bondage bestowed on me,
I want the pain, the suffering and all,
To meet their utter downfall…”
He loses hope, and all his greed;
But they were back, his Shallow Dreams.

His human heart, dejected in pain
Not wanting to see another day again,
But enlightened, he woke up,
And smelt the coffee in his cup.
He realized he made his life a dream,
And no one heard his lowly scream
He tried to realize what brought him down,
And then fell flat to the ground.


He smelt desire, sorrow and pain,
A bonded world from which he didn’t refrain,
His thoughts put him to a deep sleep,
And his dreams began again to creep.
He was left empty with a mind to own,
A mind in which evil thoughts had grown.

“That’s life; life for a Man,
A Man who thinks he can do what he can,
But he should learn its just his desire,
His thoughts that burn in the midnight fire,
But when in hand, he’s left with a choice,
To change life to a pleasing voice,
A life that’d give him all he’d want
And then again, his ‘Shallow Dreams’ taunt.”

TOXIC SYMPTOM - My new SOLO project

New solo project - TOXIC SYMPTOM

I am breaking through with a new solo project called "Toxic Symptom"

It is basically all my musical influences combining to make something, even I don't know how I can classify it. It is surely metal, but nothing exactly. It will have growl as well as clean vocals, by me. Keyboard riffing along with guitar chords and riffing. Drums, I have not done anything set as of yet, but there will be a sure inclusion of double bass. Bass, will, of course!!, be done by me only. It is all of my ideas of all the instruments being put together to make something weird. Am working on two songs right now. I have to get to the facility of recording ASAP or else my effort with be washed away in the water!

I do not have any professional recording equippment as of yet, but lets see, will try to get something done at home itself! Ahh... I'm tired.. will post one of my poems shortly, and btw, my mom is an international award winning poet!! lol... So expect no shit!! lol...!!

The Furtados Album launched on the 8th of August 2009

1. Apollonian Quest - Labyrinths of Eternal Darkness
It is a very good song... Love the song... The odd times later in the after the keyboard break on double bass and the guitar is really good. The only thing is the vocals volume is too low. The low pitch is not even heard, and you will not even know when it is, it is sooo low!! And I really dont seem to follow the lyrics somehow. Maybe, because of the volume. The drums are great. They are something diffferent only...

2. Five8 - Twenty07
What a band man!!! The song is just amazing. It is one of the best songs on the album. All instruments are nice. It has very good vocals, the guitar is good.The keyboard is implemented very well. Love the progressive feel that is given to the song. And of course they are a very well known band... They won three prizes at Livewire 2007. I dont remember exactly... Best drummer, and some two other things. Kickass song but, avoid the mistake in the album booklet of "Twenty70"!!! A small mistake.!!!

3. Echoes - No Escape
Its was well-composed by the drummer of the band Shawn himelf. I haven't heard it much, so I can't say anything. It is pretty OK..

4. Guillotine - Crave
The song has a bang start, though I think there is a thorough feel of Opeth in it. I only like the staring of the song, but when the jazzy type of part comes in the middle, I dont know if its jazz or blues, but that completely does not go with the song!! Man, totally not!! And even there is another part after that with a flute, probably done on keyboards, but that doesnt suit it either, just makes it so weird, but still the start, the solo, and some other parts of the song have a very Opeth feel to it man. Don't like that. The song is so long also man, OPETH!!

5. Sabotage - Kill Me
It is such a cute song man!!! Very good attempt by the band, though I think the Hi-Hats in the song sounds very fake!! Cute lyrics, and I really like Shanay's voice! Amazing voice. It was channelized very well here. Good mix also.

6. The Angry Mob - No TV For Us
The song is pretty funny, though I don't like the vocals much. Everything else is so chilled out in the song. The song lyrics is good, and the compostiion, it sounds a little monotonous to me. Its completely like my story and me watching TV, waiting for Dragonball Z!!! lol...

7. Descarta - Stopping Apocalypse
I like the song. Nice genre of much. Good vocals. Again I found the fake sounding Hi-Hats!! But here it is just a bit..!! The vocals were sounding very airy (by airy i mean it sounded like breeze passing through), and Devesh put a little strain in recording the clean vocals. But I like the composiiton.

8. Other Life Experiences - Lil More Dried
There is another mistake in the album booklet "Dry Chapatti", i dont know if it is a mistake or what, but its not the same as the title to me!!! And yeh, its nice. Pleasant

9. Chronic Phobia - Kill Drag Die
Can't really judge this one!! My band!! lol.. The Final mix is more kickass though, and i really like it!!

10. The Dodge - Fisherman's Dream
It is a nice song. Good implementation of various instruments, but not my kind of music, so I can't really say much.

All in all, The album is kickass though, all the final mixes are awesomely awesome!!! Good Work Grey(Anupam Roy) and The Demonstealer(Sahil Makhija)..!! Amazing mixes!! Thanks to Furtados Records, and everyone involved in making this album such a great success!!
